ya its a pain and if you plan on keeping it as your dd i would say dont do it its dangerous and can be fatal...if this is just a play to then go head on

Its gonna take more time and money then its really worth, BUT if you really want to, i would do alot of research, i did a swap a little while back on a rodeo and it worked out fine, now that was not my DD so it did not get tat much use.

yes it can be done. go to f150online and look up 4.2trimble. he did it. he actuali got it all done besides the fast that he has a horrible death wobble he count cure but he was running like 20 sumthin inches of lift on lik 46's. i think hes in the works for a desiel swap and rockwells. yea hes ridiculous i know. also blackbeast i think is trying to gather parts for his thats why he was selling his 5 inch rough country lift. like others said its really hard and if its your DD then id say dont. but hell if not then go ahead. id personally keep this style as a DD and then buy an earlier generation to do that kind of thing to for hardcore offroading. but o each is own. yeah its just a pain in the @$$ i did a moderate trail the other night and my cv broke on me not to mention the dropmount for the torsion bars that hang down and give me problems for my ramp breaker angle. im thinking crossover steering and steer tabilizers and a decent sway bar... we'll once it happens... kinda why im looking for a cheap teggy or civic right now

yeah no problem man it would be kinda dick not to reply back, azfx4 is getting on me about my lift and i dont even have a solid axle to work with lol.... it kinda sucks what kind of axles im looking for because im look for 98 and older f350 axles... dana 60 front sterling 10.25 rear that are a full floating hub vs. the 99 and newer with the non-serviceable bearing... bout 400 per bearing if it goes out :-/ so my search is on

i am starting to collect parts for mine and hoping to do mine soon. but some of you guys say it should only be done for offroad only...why is that? a solid axle truck is fine for a dd as long as you do it right and make sure all your welds are good quality.

but i am also looking for a step by step write up if anyone has one. i just want to be able to read what someone else has done.
