Default Smaller alternator pulley

Hi guys. I went to rock auto and a couple other parts sites looking for the size of the alternator pulley. 55mm, 49mm, etc.

I want to replace the stock pulley with a little smaller one to get some extra juice, especially at idle. I understand it will probably shorten the life of the alternator.

does anyone know the stock size and if I can fit a smaller one on there?

I just want to know the size of the pulley on the stock alternator. For example, 55mm.

my plan is to remove it, and replace it with a smaller pulley, resulting in the alternator producing more power at idle and at speed.

I’ve been researching and it seems like something that can be done. It can shorten the life of the alternator, but I’m ok with that.

I believe White needs to know the year, engine, etc to find which alternator and pulley was supplied. They do vary sometimes. I don't think anyone wants to give you wrong info.

OP....you are going to have to measure your pulley without the edges. 69 and 64 show are common on a 3G. 6G uses the 64 (5mm smaller than the std. 3G). Read the chart I posted. 242260 should be stock 69mm. 2422611 is 64mm. This would give you almost a 1/5th of an inch difference and work for what you are trying to do.
