I recently bought a 2003 f150 xlt supercrew that I intend on being a hunting/off roading truck. I am having the hardest time fiding skid plates for the truck.
Has anyone purchased any for these trucks. Does anyone know where I might could find some?

Best bet is your local salvage yard. Car-part.com is a friend of mine you should meet.

I will check out the site. I live in LA we have a lot of mud but no rocks so skid plates are uncommon. I am planning on doing some camping in northern Arkansas where rocks are prevalent.

No problem. Any truck that came equipped as a 4x4 off road or fx4 will have the skid plates.

Did not know that. Are we talking metal ones or the plastic splash plates. My truck is an 4x4 off road but there is nothing protecting the pumpkin or the underbody. I have the front skid plate. I was looking for full front to rear plates.

I'm talking metal plates. I guess some came more equipped than others. Do you have a picture of your truck you can post real quick?
I know the fx4s definitely has them. I have at least three under my truck.
this is the only pic I have right now. I am pretty sure it is the Off road. I will look better when I get a chance. I just got the truck a couple weeks ago. There is a very good chance that they were parted out if it did have them from one of the previous owners. The guy I bought the truck from had a regular 4x4 xl package as well. He may have taken them off and put them on the XL

Those wheels are telling me that it isnt the off road package. Unless he swapped those over from the other truck too. Generally the off-road branded 4x4's came with 17" wheels.
I know these came off of the other truck, because he wanted these tires on this truck however I dont know what the wheels on the other truck looked like. I dont remember. This may not be the off road package either. It wasnt a selling point in his add, I was just thinking it was but I could definately be wrong. I will look this evening and see if it is or not.
Yours being an 03 would mean for it to have the full skid plate and off road package it would have to be an FX4. If it were and just had the decals removed it would have come with rancho shocks as well.
