I have just a plain 2001 4x4(not offroad) and I have a engine, gas tank, and transfer case skid plate. Idk what ford tried to do lol but they put skid plates on pretty randomly it seems

Personally I wouldn't buy them. Just make some out of 3/16" or 1/4". The factory ones are super weak and flimsy

I would love to find a set of factory skids for my 08 KR. Its the only thing I wanted that it did not come with. I have tried local junk yards with no luck. I have yet to call a dealer. I'd be scared to know what they are. Might just have to bite the bullet and do it.

As far as the oil pan would have to be custom, maybe run it off the front diff support. My Tcase skid ha pressed up to my case and the gas tank one is above my frame. I'll fab up something better hopefully before the next wheeling trip..

I have a 1997 4.6 4x4 offroad. Looking for skid plates or where I can get them/ part numbers. No lift.
My 01 screw came with full skid plates.
One at the front diff, one at the trans/transfer case and one at the gas tank!
I have had a lot of these 4x4 trucks and this is the first one that has factory skid plates.

I've always wanted to build a sectional skid plate that goes from behind the transfer case to the front diff you'd loose a little ground clearance but its protect the vitals
