you can add the blinker mirrors.
I have an 03 that didn't have the blinker mirrors. I replaced it with the blinker mirrors. The plugs hooked up perfect And the blinkers worked. I didn't have to wire anything.

 

Hmm I might have been thinking something different. I believe if the wiring is pre 98 then the connection must be made.
