So, I posted on here a few months back with some pics of my truck and I mentioned a rusty frame. Does this look fixable?

That's what my dad keeps telling me!!! I want to try getting it back on the road again anyways. We got it on a trade for a snowmobile. The frame is only half of it. The motor is no good and it needs a new box. Plus the cab has 2 homade mounts on it. I want to redo it from the ground up cause you don't see very many reg. cabs where I'm at. I am thinkin either a custom frame or buy a frame from LKQ.

I'm being straight up with you bud. Nice truck. But she's not worth it. The body's shot, the engines shot, the frames shot. I only got pics to go by, but I bet you 9 odds outta 10 if I had that truck in front of me I'd be confirming that the trucks beyond repair unless you want to dump way more money into her than shes ever gonna be worth. Im talking close enough to the price of a brand new one. I also bet that truck ain't safe for the road.

That's your first truck right? I know how you must feel if you're any enthusiast. But I'm telling you man, junk that truck and get yourself another one. I hate to have to say it to you but that's a dime a dozen truck that's never gonna be worth much. She's not worth it.

New fogs and heads. Leave the wheels chrome. Pull the shopping cart bumpers and pull the bugshield.

If you want to make it road worthy and drive it till it quits thats one thing I would say go for it. Now if you are trying to build a show truck you better find another one.

Thanks for your opinion. I want to keep her for a while and see how.much stuff costs before I get rid of her. I have plenty of time to fix it. My dad is gonna let me drive his truck until I either het that running or get another one. I am either gonna fix it over a very long period of time, scrap it, or put it in the mud runs a few miles from where I live. I want to make a custom tubular frame, sorta like a trophy truck. The rust is only on one side btw. I just realized that it looks like both sides are rotten. Kinda want to just chop up a frame I have had my eyes on or do the custom one. The frame I have been watching was in a front end collision so it's also no good.

I'd lay money right now that that truck ain't safe to drive at this minute. Even off road.

Paint everything under the truck with por15 (only the rusty stuff) and turn it into a mud truck
