A 22" bar is a 20" bar measured to the outside of the mounts instead of the light surface like they should be.

Default new to me! 2003 f150 King Ranch Super cab Flareside 4x4

Got a great deal on this truck due to it having some issues (tires, alignment, check engine light, lean codes, a/c clutch ticking, but air blows ice cold, both rear doors wont open and some other very minor issues) truck has been sitting for awhile but only has 124k on the odo. I plan on repairing all of these issues and restoring the truck to its former glory. This is a rare truck and i love this body style and the 5.4L 2v engine. I look forward to sharing my work and getting helpful info from all of you on the forum!

Actually on a 22" bar the measurement of light surface was a little over 21".

Of the glass or of the whole black bar? Ive measured 6" and 7" bars, and 20 and 22" bars and they're exactly the same size. You did have a different style bar though.
