I know a couple buddies who wrap their winch line around their stinger bars so when they get stuck all they have to do is unwrap it and throw it out, dont have to reach down and unspool it. some have a recovery point that has a shackle on it, so they keep the tow strap hooked up to it and put the strap around the bumper for easy access. havnt seen chain hanging down...thats a new one for me.
