No just make sure you dont leave it in any longer than 8 to 10 min. With the short period of time the items inside the housing usually stay cooler than the rest. I've done it to 3 diferent sets of headlights on 3 different trucks and never had a problem.

I didn't use any bc 99 % of it stayed on the lights. Once I reassembled it I just put them back in the oven for 3 to 5 min to let the glue soften and seal back. These lights aren't sealed anyway. They have a large vapor vent on the back side.
