Clean and dried, then professionally done...ya. MN gets a lot of salt too. Mine has been undercoated multiple times but still rusted through.

Does nobody use that Ziebart rust protection anymore? I have a 20 year old Dakota from Ohio that was treated with Ziebart before I got it, and no rust at all. I'm not in rust country though, but it lived there for 5 years before I brought it south.

Early in my life I lived in Michigan and vehicles rusted very quickly if not treated. Undercoating helped but it was not the silver bullet. Vehicles are much better than they were back 40 years ago but in places where they use a lot of salt on the roads, you will always have to deal with rust. I have known of two methods that worked very well with me and friends.

Method 1 Get the Zebart treatment and go back every year and have it touched up. Also, wash your vehicle often in the winter if possible

Method 2 DIY rust proofing by spraying and painting with a paint brush the underside of your truck and inside the door panels with used motor oil. The oil gets inside the welds and really fights the rust. You have to repeat the process every year. You also wash the vehicle often during the winter. I had a drain and water in my garage and I would take about 5 minutes to spray salt off the car when I came home from work and the car was covered in salt. When other cars would rust, mine looked great and and I could drive them longer between trade-ins than most of my friends.
