Default should I trade

So I have a 97 f150 2wd reg cab long box 4.6 auto with 174xxx miles runs great with a few visual mods and my dad has a 01 fx4 screw with 5.4 and 215xxx not currently running bone stock he just said if he gets it running he would trade his truck for mine plus a grand it sounds good but hes driven it hard jumps it, off roading, and kinda speeds and accelerates fast so its abused so im not sure what needs replaced so what do you think

I would say NO. But if you do go through with it ....pay $50 to a local mechanic to look it over for obvious problems and go from there.

I understand.. Do what others have said and it'll basically come down with what you want to do.. Personally I wouldn't because of miles and the money you've put in your truck.. But I bet the fact it's a screw draws you in lol
