Default Should I trade?

Been looking around on craigslist at the ole barter section. Found a guy selling his 1998 Mustang GT or trading for a full-size truck.

The Mustang is the 4.6L V8 with 127,000 miles on it. 5-speed. Has Bullit Cobra wheels and tires look pretty good. Only problems are the paint on the bumpers is faded and there is a 2 inch tear in the driver seat.

My 1999 F-150 XLT 4.6L V8 Auto has 168,000 miles and has brand new wheels and tires. Has a dented hood and light damage on the driver side fender.

He knows all of this and is still extremely interested. Says he has gotten old and needs a truck to haul stuff and can't fully enjoy the Mustang anymore.

Any opinions?

Can I fit a 4x8 in the back? No? Well then it wouldn't work for me.

Really, its up to you.

Guys, you're being too biased. haha

I understand that this is a truck forum and we all love trucks.

But, I'm not stuck on having a truck.

So pretend that you were unbiased. Would this be a good trade on my part?

If you can deal with only having a 4x3x1.5 foot "bed", and you don't ever go off road, I say go for it. My moms 07 is a ton of fun to drive and it gets much better gas mileage.

Honestly you can only take one other person you like, and 2 people you hate anywhere with you so if having more than 2 seats is important to you a mustang might not be the right choice.

Well let me give some more info about myself.

I hardly ever haul anything. I'm never off-road. I'm a college student that hates getting 14mpg, but loves the sound and feel of a V8. Usually the only person that rides with me is the girlfriend and anyone else can deal with it if they don't have much room or ride with someone else.

I'd say go for it if you like that style of Stang and if you want to drive it every day

In the end it's all up to u and what u think is a good deal. Since you don't haul or off road and such sounds like for u would be good trade.
