After changing several parts it is still idling a little rough and occasional wants to stall.

What year vehicle and engine model? Specifically what parts have been changed, why were they changed and who changed them?

Not sure what you mean by reset the computer. You could always remove the (-) battery cable, let the vehicle sit for 20 to 30 minutes, then reconnect the battery cable. This would initiate the PCM relearn procedure.

Started off replacing Ignition coils & spark plugs, DPFE sensor, oxygen sensor . Ran ok, changed oil , new front brake pads. Then it’s idle was a little rough. Took it bad to shop there were no codes mechanic said we should replace fuel pump. That didn’t make any difference in idle. Hubby said I got ripped off : ( Checked to see if brake booster had a leak but was ok. Someone on this forum suggested replacing the Idle Air Control sensor a little better but still acts like it wants to stall at red light . Mechanic wants another $150 to reset computer but, lost trust in him.

Sounds like you haven't taken it to the dealer for the problem to be correctly diagnosed? Sure seems like it may have been less expensive in the long run rather than changing parts without fixing the root cause of the problem.

You still haven't told me the year and engine model.

PS: husbands are never wrong, you should know that.

I would put a vacuum gauge on the motor and see what it shows. It could be as simple as a bad PCV/grommet/hose behind the throttle body assembly or a hose leaking some air (vacuum). The gauge will help you determine if it's air or possibly a sensor. You have no codes, but if the battery was disconnected, you will have to run from 60=100 miles to reset the computer.

As far as the shop resetting the computer for $150. Tell them to go pound sand. You can reset it yourself, by removing the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes then reattach it. It will clear all memory. Then it will take the 60=100 miles to reset anything. If you have a good OBDII reader, you should be able to clear any codes you have with that also.

How many miles on the 4.6? Anything else you can tell us about what was changed out, besides the fuel pump. I hope to hell they changed the fuel filter at the same time or recently before the new pump.
