Why do you need the stabilizer? Does your truck get squirrely on the highway after you hit a bump?

ya, i had the front end checked out and its all solid but to reduce the shimmy of the steering wheel they suggested a stabilizer. im going to try out the new shocks and see if they make a difference. my shocks are stock with 113k miles on them so its about time to replace them.

now they say the shocks wont fit because of the torsion bar crank, he says they are always extended and dont absorb the inpack of a bump. can i get shocks from a lift kit say rancho and fit those in there? what do guys do with a leveling kit? whats my way around this without putting in a lift kit? i need to stop this shake and shimmy.
