Shock replacement 2003 2X4
I loved my OG shocks, but they wore out (surprise). I have the KYB standard replacements (Excel - G) now. My next one's will probably be the beefed up KYB's in the front and standard in the rear (I don't tow, and don't typically carry a lot of weight. If I did, then I'd likely get some HD KYB's (Gas-a-just).
The only caveat on this is that I've only had them on the truck for a couple thousand miles, so the durability testing is still in progress.

Of the 100+ threads on shocks, the answer is ...
There is no answer. Don't buy the cheapest out there. Anything mid-level and up will work.
I have Monroe Gas-Magnum in the front, Gabriel Ultra in the rear. Have been happy with them.
