So it was so bad that I had to put my truck in neautral to start it, and pull up on the shifter while it was already in park for it to start other times. AND my reverse lights wiuld come on in neautral instead of the actual reverse gear. After I did this body lift its worse, I have to put it in drive to start it then hurry up and put it in park before the gear engages and my truck roles off. It's aggervAting as hell. And it's not the little indicator needle that's messed up, the cable is either stretched or needs adjustment. Anyone have experience with this?

I've also taken apart my dash to make sure those famous torx bolts weren't loose, and they're as tight as they get. No sloppy shifting either.

adjuster is easy to get to, i found it by accident while changing my GEM. It's located under the steering column and should be obvious when you see it. If you know what you're looking for total adjustment time is 1-5 minutes

Thank you fir the reply,
Unless you're speaking up something I haven't seen yet, I'm not talkin about the one that moves the gear indicator needle back and fourth...

If you are talking about the linkage at the transmission, that is adjustable also. Your neutral safety switch sounds like its out of sync with the linkage. You will have to crawl under the truck and reset it. It's a simple thing to do. Good luck.

I was looking at it today an yesterday as I was uninstalling and installing an extension bracket for the cable that came with the body lift. I was goin to adjust it at the very end where it connects to the transmission, but couldn't figure out how? But I was scared to break it or worsen it, so I just put on the extension bracket with no luck. Could you or anyone show me how it needs to be done or with pictures of wut exactly on there adjust the cable? Do I just pull up the little tabs on the plastic piece and slide it as needed and set it back down in the teeth? Or is there a plastic bolt that I've read about a time or two? My front drive shafts in the way, and I didn't feel like takin it out again, just to try to figure out how to adjust he cable

Here is what you have to adjust. I just don't remember how right off. If I was under there, I would remember. Hope this helps you some.

I looked last night. There is a bolt that you release that will allow the movement of the cable you you can set it where you need to. If you look close at the picture, the plastic blue part, you will see a slight silver bolt thread towards the trans. The bolt head is on the outside, easy to get to. You just back it off till the cable slide moves, then set it where you want it. Very easy to do. Good luck.
