Default Several problems, I'm lost

I have a 2000 F150 2wd, it has 140,000 miles. I apologize for the post if this is a common topic. I have researched for 2 weeks now and I am just getting frustrated because I can't seem to find a good starting point.

When its cold outside, it seems after the truck warms up it starts to idle/run like crap, I have changed the IAC valve because I thought thats what it was based off of what I read. Has not helped, it also will throw a random misfire code but it doesn't throw the code all the time. I can reset it, and it will run bad without throwing the code, then the next time it will.

The other thing that its doing is….
when I coast and give the truck gas, i hear a slight bang almost like the transmission catches, you can't not feel it, there is not delay like a slipping or anything.

Also, when I am at 60mph and coast down to around 55, it almost feels like it downshifts or maybe even jerking is a better description, as soon as I give it gas, if feels like the truck will go into overdrive again and run fine. It almost feels like transmission but I am unsure.

the last thing but I don't know if its relevant or not is I have a Ford authorized modification sticker under the hood that says "2001 re-flashed pcm"

Let me know what you all think or if you need any more info. Thanks,
I really appreciate the advice.

Tom

Im not a mechanic or anything but if it feels like the trans with any of those problems, have you ever had it looked at or had a trans flush? Or maybe its completely different, what if the re flashed Pcm is whats messed up? Could possibly be a bad tune

When it throws a code is it always the same cylinder missfire? The clunk could be a slip yoke needing some grease.
