Default Securilock system ?????

Just got a 2003 Supercrew Lariat with the securilock system, but only got one key. Ford wants $160.00 to fix me up with a second key. Is there a way to disable this anti-theft system and just use regular non-electronic keys? Thanks, Tracka96

A couple guys have said they've had success with Walmart which has a system that apparently copies your current key's signal.

Other than that, there are bypass modules that you would use for a remote start, or you can tape the chipped key inside of the steering column and use new uncoded keys for the ignition.

Within the next few days I'll get a key copy made at Ace hardware and if taping my one chipped key inside somewhere allows me to just use the plain key, I'll do that. Has anyone tried it? Thanks, Tracka96

I would check another dealer, I just had this done and it was only $70 dollars. 25 for the key and 45 to program it, they would had done more for the 45 dollars but I only needed one extra. You can program them yourself once you have two chipped keys.
