Default Running seafoam in oil?

Hey guys I just want some opinions on this. I heard running seafoam in your oil for 30 minutes before you change it cleans the engine real well such as sludge and stuff like that and I've also heard seafoam is not good stuff for your engine and that it'll thin your oil. I was thinking about doing this before I change my oil because its due for an oil change but first I wanted some opinions. Thanks in advance, Clay.

What problem are you trying to solve? This is not a part of normal maintenance.

It won't harm anything if you drain it and run a quart or two through it after it's drained. (seafoam - drive 100 miles or whatever, drain, put 1-2 quarts in and let it drain, then put plug in and fill er up).

FYI~We used SFoam a few times in weed eaters and they seized up.

Come to find out after further study that the SFoam wiped the oil off the piston walls and lock-up.

SFoam was mixed per instructions.

The only thing you need in the crankcase is the right oil. Seafoam is snake-oil, = bad news. Use the recommended Syn Blend 5w 20 and change intervals,- your set.

Just do regular oil changes and your engine will stay very clean. You most likely do this but JIC, drain the oil when it is hot to get all the crud out of your engine.

I don't think you will accomplish more than a nickels worth of benefit by using sea foam over oil but you will spend a lot more than a nickel using sea foam.
