Rounded bolt...

Default Rounded bolt...

How do I go about removing a rounded bolt from the intake manifold. This is becoming frustrating......GEESH!

sears should have a tool called an easy out for bolts, it will look like a socket that is twisted on the inside, and is sharp....here is a link, hope this helps.

If you cant get an easy out, then get a socket that is a size smaller and hammer it on the bolt head.

I agree, the Sears craftsman kit easy out works great and doesn't cost much. Seriously, it was like a miracle. 40 minutes of trying with vice grips, etc. and it only took a few seconds with the bolt kit.
I picked one up at my local Sears, liked it so much I went back and got the other set to have all Metric sizes.
My problem was a rounded oil plug (that way when I got the truck).

I hammered on a 12mm socket on, and continue to apply some penetration stuff. but if all else fails just weld a nut on.
and enjoy it as many of us have lol
