Default Rough Shift

Sorry in advance. I know theyre are like a million threads on transmission issues but i didnt feel like fishing through them all to find my exact maybe issue. So I have a 2000 Scab with 60K miles. It's 2wd with the 4.6L engine. Recenlty ive noticed the transmission sometimes shifting slightly rougher than usual. About once a week, 3 times now, a really rough shift occurs(only way I know how to explain this shift is how my Dad's 1968 camaro shifts into second with a Turbo 400 and a shift kit). Anyway, is this an issue or sign of worse to come?

Also, It has 3.55 gears with a limited-slip differential if this makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

Check the trans mount, also you may want to have the transmission serviced.

Default A sad update

M transmission died today.

An update on what occurred since my original post. The transmission continued to do it's hard shift till mid September, at which point it started making a funny whirrrrrr noise. However, this only occurred every once and a while, about once a week. This trend continued for a while until the whirrrrrr noise started to happen more and more frequently. The sound occurred only on random trips. It occurred only when I accelerated and usually stopped once I hit third gear. Every once and a while it would get really loud, once again it depended on the trip, and usually occurred from 1,500-2,000rpms. The sound began to worry me so after reading some threads on the subject, I decided to get my transmission flushed.
Many readers of this post will at this point condemn my decision to flush and immediately conclude this caused the transmission's failure. However, this truck only has 61,000 miles on it and has been babied through most of its life. I do not dog this vehicle, I have done regular oil changes, among many other preventive maintanences. Finally, the sound worsened at the same rate as it did before the flush, which leads me to believe the flush did not harm the transmission.
I got engine flushed about about three weeks ago. At first, the outlook looked good. The flush fixed the shifting issue. The truck's shifts were not hard, it made no whirr sound and I felt confident the issue was solved. Then, a couple days after the flush(after about 200 miles of driving), the sound started up again. The sound occurred exactly as it had before, at random times, sometimes loud sometimes quiet and only when accelerating, except the shifts were no longer hard.
This trend repeated itself until today, when I had to drive an hour to my classes. The sound was loud the entire way to the college. Every time I accelerated the truck Whirrrrrrrrrrrred. I made it to class fine, it was the trip home where the issues occurred. My route home takes me through heavy traffic, going usually around 25-40mph, until I reach a highway at which I travel 55-65mph for around 8 miles till I arrive home. At the beginning of my route the sound began to occur even when I took my foot off the gas, a change from it only happening during acceleration. Then I got to the highway, my foot was 75% to the floor and it was crawling to speed. I reached 45mph, at which point the truck slipped into first gear and instantly went to 4,500 rpms. I got up to speed then my overdrive button on my shifter started started flashing. Since I'd lost overdrive(and since traffic was going slower than 55 anyway), I put on my warning flashers and went 40 mph till I got to a stop light right by my house. The light then stopped flashing and I turned overdrive back on. I then went to my house, where my father promptly told me my transmission was shot.
