Rough running
97 F150 4.6l windsor
Changed my spark plugs, plug wires and coil pack, truck seems to run great right after the changes but after about 30min it starts running sluggish and sounding like it has a loping cam. Number 8 cylinder fails all the time then after a bit 3 , 4 ,6 will wind up failing. Number 8bspark plug always looks like it is just caked in carbon. Replaced both Ect's and thermostat but engine temp stay around 310 - 330 but gauge reads fine and gauge appears to work fine always on the cold range when i start the truck warms and stay around about a 3rd of gauge on the cold side so rightb about where I t should be. Replacer theb MAF sensor.I smell antifreeze every now and the and also gasoline. And it always take a good 30 seconds or more to start the truck and it idols around 750. Fault codes are misfire on 8 after a day or or I'll get a misfire on 3 or 4, and p0117 I also replaced the medical gasket and pretty much all the vacuum lines
I kind of think it something with the exhaust being clogged but I'm not smoking or anything. Feels like I have excessive back pressure. Not sure how to check that with out disconnecting the exhaust.
Thx in advance for whoever comes to my rescue
