Well I got home and checked the IAC valve with a multimeter. Everything checked good accept when I did the resistance test between one prove on the connector and the body of the valve and got no reading. Haynes manual says that this means the valve is grounded out against the body inside the valve. Don't understand why it idles fine in park and gets rough at warm engine temps in reverse or drive. Tested MAF sensor and tested fine. Tested TPS for correct voltage but couldn't get a reading. It tested ok as far as the reference signal though. I wanna check out the fuel pressure regulator but it's seems as though it connected into a permanent housing on the driver side fuel rail. Have no experience with these if anyone can chime in. Wanna do more searching for vaccum leaks but ran out of the little bit of carb cleaner that I had so I need to get another can. If all that checks out I guess I'll move to compression checks on the cylendars. I would really appreciate any input on this issue please

Just thought I would let it be known that I figured out what my issues were. A guide for the timing chain on bank o e was broken in several places causing exessive slack in the chain. Pulled that valve cover and could almost pull the chain off the camshaft pulley. Replaced guides, tensioners and chains for both banks and it runs like a dream now. Now I just need to figure out this rich condition. Found that the previous owner had a smaller after market CAI filter on it than was recommended by spectre. They had a 6" and it called for 8.5". Changed it out so well see if it takes care of the CEL.
