i have a 1997 f150 that idles rough when in gear. give it the gas and no missing. put it in nuetral and no miss. only when in gear idling. any help would be appreciated.

 

sounds close to a problem i have sometimes.. i cant remember what its called to save my life but i think its a sensor thats on each cylinder and if it goes bad it will cause a rough idle, my truck would idle rough in park and in gear but when you give it gas everything is fine.. a mechanic friend of mine said they tend to go bad and just replace each one as they go out, it sucks but what can ya do...... i hope this helps
