Default Rim warning!

I'm not sure if it is just my truck or just my year, but i bought 16x7 cragar soft 8's from summit and when i bolted them on they were rubbing on the caliper bracket, so much so they barely moved. and after a small freakout in my head, my buddy suggested wheel spacers from o'reilly's, which are 5/16ths of an inch thick, and after putting those on, the wheel fits. Also, the center caps that came with it were stuck on my hubs! I tried to get it off and ended up damaging it pretty bad, but i think it's fairly cheap to replace.
but a warning to anyone buying or thinking about buying them..

They might rub and you might need 18 dollar wheel spacers from o'reilly's..
Also, i tightened the front wheels down a crapload, which i thought should be better since if it wasn't super tight it could come loose and wobble and oval out my rim holes. but also i'm worried about the spacer (which i assume to be aluminum) breaking under the intense pressure

I'll get some pictures of the stuff tomorrow..

You are just begging to ruin your rims with those spacers. Buy hubcentric spacers.
