Default Rim/ tire help

Hey,

well i am new to the f150 but not new to ford. i previouslly owned a mountaineer but just traded it for a f150. My question is this.... I know the 1999 f150 has the 16 inch rims. What i was wondering is can i run 15 inch rims? I noticed i can buy nicer and blacked out rims for about 50, then 31 inch tires for 100 so 150 per tire. versus one tire itself is about 160+. So my question is anyone running 15inch rims or is this something not to do.

Also, is 31 inch rims going to look to small if i keep the stock ride height with the 15 inch rim?

If your against 15 inch rims please recommend me a bigger size tire that would fit stock but is not going to look small.

Thanks!

Did you do any reading/searcing before your post.

Like going down 4 threads/posts and reading that one?

Yes you can run 15's, but you'll have to do some grinding on the caliper.

But from the readings on your post that might be a little much for you to handle

^^^^ Don't be a jerk man.

To the OP, no you shouldn't run 15s. The clearance is impossible without grinding the caliper, and even then its still not a good idea clearance wise. Plus, as far as I know they don't even make 15s in our lug pattern (5x135), and thats the only lug pattern that will fit properly without any problems.

Man, don't be an *****. Lots of people come here, and that search function is NOT the best thing since sliced bread. Especially for people new to the truck, and just trying to figure things out.

Reactions like yours will turn people off to the forum quick. Just stop.
