well when i bought my truck i didnt have the keyless entry for my key chain and i bought 2 for 50 instead of like 90 give or take from the dealership and i had to program them like a garage door opener so for the ones that run into the same problem as me heres a lil help

1. turn the ignition from off to run position(without turning truck on) 8 times within 20 seconds....door locks will lock/unlock to let you know program its "active"

2. grab your keyless entry/key fob and press any button...doors will lock/unlock once noticed key fob

3. turn ignition to off postion....doors will lock/unlock to let you know programming is complete


and wal-la you have keyless entry now....its quick and easy process


if you have more than one key fob just repeat process...it took me like a minute or two max to program both key fobs.....

 

I'm glad you put this on here, if we hadnt've known a mechanic at Ford we would never have figured out how to program my keys

 

yea.....funny thing is my fiancee's uncle works in the truck shop at my local ford dealership haha but i still did my own research instead of calling him lol

 

I just programmed 2 new remotes yesterday, but came across a tiny issue that was not in the manual. When I programmed the 2 new remotes, my original remote became unprogrammed (I found this out an hour later when I had an armful of groceries). When I got home, I reprogramed all 3 remotes and had no issues.
