Question Replacing Shocks

I can only afford 2 at a time. Which should I replace first, fronts or rears?
I tow a boat occasionally and a travel trailer rarely, 99% commute on freeway.
Never a load in bed unless towing travel trailer.

You can get all 4 shocks for under $100. If they all need to get replaced and things are that tight you need to get your priorities straight and do some budgeting.

If you still don't want to get all 4 and they are equally as old, I'd get the rears first.

You will probably notice more of a difference with the fronts, but as said above, doing all 4 at the same time is best.
I have some Monroe Gas-Magnums on the front ($60 for the pair) and Gabriel Ultras on the rear ($10 for the pair from a craigslist posting, only a few months old).

almost all manufacturers offer discounts on buying 4 shocks @ a time.

Usually mail in rebates, but still.

I Got my KYB monomax's on all four corners for $180 after mir and discount code.

Thanks I'll look into rebate potential for a 4 corner purchase.

Park the boat until you can afford all four.

I am thinking of getting Gabriel Max Control but I'm going to wait after winter to replace them. I have OEM shocks and are unsure if they were recently changed or from the factory. I do tow a 6x10 utility trailer every week when its mowing season with lawn care equipment weighing about 1200 pounds fully loaded. And, I have hauled a pallet of hardwood flooring with the trailer weighing in at about 2600 pounds and it squatted my truck a good 1/2 inch or so but I think it handled it pretty well. What do you guys think? and what shocks do you recommend?
