Default Replacing shift tube

On the 2003 f 150 I purchased. The shift tube is broken. I purchased a new one and have everything apart to replace it. My question is how does the tube connect to the cable.. I think missing a part

There is a bracket on the end of the shift tube held on by two torx screws.

There isn't a bracket on the truck you purchased? If there is just put it on the shift tube you purchased.

Where could I purchase the bracket. Salvage yard maybe. The man I bought the truck from told me something broke and some metal parts fell to the floor. The original shift tube was broken on the end and no bolts were found. Maybe this was a bad idea purchasing this truck. It looks good though. Thanks for your help

You should be able to get one at a salvage yard.
