Replacing seats and carpet
Just checked out a salvage yard and found seats and carpet from a '97 F250 reg. cab in really good condition. Want to replace the seats and carpet for my '00 F150 flareside with the 97's. Want to make sure these are interchangeable before I fork over the $100. I really hope so.
I don't know but the best way is to look under the seats at the seat rails. If they are the same, and the bolt locations are the same it should fit if the seat measures the same all around. I would measure everything carefully. Most salvage yards will take things back if they don't fit. Ask the guy at the yard if you can bring them back if they do not fit. The biggest issue would be the seat rails and bolts. I assume they would fit because of the years and that they are the same type seats (benck or split etc.), but I can't say for sure.
After checking the measurements and rails, I would probably risk the $100.00 since that is CHEAP for a new interior.
The seat alone is worth more than that.
