Default Replacing A/C hose

I have to replace an A/C hose on my 99 4.6. Do I need to put any kind of sealant or teflon on the threads?

No you don't but you should put some a/c oil on the o rings

Also some oil in the compressor before recharging. I use fluorescent dye in a/c oil to make leak detection easier in future.
