Replaced clockspring nothing changed
My horn and cruise quit and I have replaced the relay, clockspring and the actual horn. I had to replace the horn because it burned up from excessive use! What else do I need to look at the fix this problem. When you plug the horn up it is continually going off, so I have to leave it unplugged. The cruise is doing the same thing ad before, nothing. Thanks for any help and replies.

Did your horn quit blowing when you had the steering wheel off? Is the cruise control have a light in the cluster? Can diagnose the cruise using the light. The horn and the cruise are most likely not related to each other, since the horn does work.
Well, I took to the dealer where I bought the truck and had their mechanics look at it. They unhooked the cruise control servo and waited a minute before they hooked it back up and now everything is working fine! So I guess the horn is controlled by the servo also. Now I'm wondering if the horn will go off again for no reason? I sure don't won't to wake up at 2 a.m. to a horn going off!
I have a very similar problem. My horn and cruise both do not work. I know the horn is functional b/c I jumpered a relay under the hood (in the fuse box). Anyway, I had the clock spring replaced (saw several posts suggesting this), but cruise & horn still don't work.
My question is this: what is a cruise control servo, and how do you unhook it? :-)
