Default Removing 4X4 Graphics.....?

Just picked up a new bed for my F150, Has anyone had to remove the 4X4 decals on the bed? Is the best way to hit it with a heat gun and a careful razor blade or should I sand it since it has to be painted anyway?

Its just a decal right? Then yea, a heat gun or a blow dryer even. And...i just use my fingernail, not a razor, i'm always scared i'll screw up and get the paint. But then again, you said its gettin re-painted so...yea, that'll work haha. But yea, heat gun'll get that right off

Use a hair dryer to heat the decal then use a PLASTIC putty knife from Lowes or Home Depot to carefully remove the decal. NO RAZOR BLADE. Then you can follow with citrus glue remover (Kmart, Walmart, Lowes, etc.) to remove the remaining glue. I would not use a heat gun because it can blister the paint and cause more work for you to prime, sand, and repaint the area. I have removed many decals from race cars.
