Default Remote starter installion

Have the chance to buy a Bulldog RS700 for $40. Good buy? Also, can someone please help me locate the wires on my truck if I do buy it?

Ya i have a viper 5501 and I love it. I would definitely go with a Viper. I had a Bulldog in my old car and I hated it.

I have a Compustar 1 mile 2 way Remote Start/Alarm system. I love it. I had a friend whom installs them for a living do it for me. You wouldn't believe the wiring you have to do before you hook up to the wires in the truck. I could do it but lets not kid ourselves, easier to pay someone else that has done it before.

Where are you located?

A word of advice on remote starts.... Don't get a cheap piece of crap and be sure to get it installed properly. The previous owner of my truck had one installed somewhere and I have no information on it. It has been causing shorts and giving my trucks electrical system intermittent issues. I recently removed the panels under te steering wheel and there is a mess of wires and electrical tape under there that looks like someone with no electrical knowledge installed it. I am going to totally remove the system.
