Default Reflash Your ECU

Has anyone done this to an f150? I was looking a a youtube vid of someone doing to a new volks. Something to do with using a computer to unlock restrictions in the cars performance.

ECU only knows what the PCM knows. You sound like you're looking for a tuner to change the PCM.

what youre thinking of is either a tuner OR having the dealership reflash your vehicles computer with an updated setting. usually a dealership will just charge a diagnostic charge of like 90 bucks or something to have it done.

or you can spend about 200$ more and get all the power you want on 3 different levels with a tuner

I was going to post this but found this thread going anyway.

What the first guy is talking about is this

http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/index.html

It is software that you go into the car/truck's computer and change a bunch of settings like...... Disabling dtr, making the brake lights flash really quick when the abs is activated, things like that. That is for VW's.

Does anyone know if there is something like that for Ford?
If not, does the dealer's computer have access to settings like that?
