Why are you guys worried about a beauty ring? All it does is looks. The butyl tape goes between the cab and the glass. Most times they leak because the frame for the glass gets cracked

It's not a matter of worrying about it, I just figured while I had the glass out I'd take a little extra time to clean it up and try to make it like it was. For less than $20 for paint, rtv, and a piece of vacuum hose, I figured why not

What I was saying is people think that prevents the window from leaking

Where did you get that window frame? I've been looking all over and can't find it. I have a 2000 f150.

Just so you know. There are 2 rear window frames. One fits the Super Crew and Regular Cab models, and the other fits the SCabs only. They do not swap. Cab angle makes them specific to the models. You don't have any model info posted or even where you are. If you post your model and where you are, we can do a quick Car-part or Hollander search and point you in the right direction.

Have been looking around can’t find one anywhere and local junkyards don’t have the year I need the last one didn’t fit.
