Default Rear window replace

Well, hard to find heated rear window now apparently since ford/carlite discontinued it. . My local shop couldnt. I found one online in CA...old stock because it said PPG instead of PGW, dont do me much good there. Sucks . Beware. Have to go back with unheated. I only use it two or three mornings a year so it's not that big of a deal but it still sucks

BTW I think this occurred because my yard crew kicked up a small rock while edging the driveway. You know, the way they turn the weedeater on its side. If you look close you can see all the cracks emanate from one spot on the left upper side with no damage.... It broke outward and fell into the truck bed.

The new glass fits and works but it is much flatter and not as curved and does not sit out as far in the trim as the original. I think it's also not quite as dark as the original

I think I'll try and find one at a junkyard to replace it with.....the oem with heater

Did you put that black piece of trim around window or did it come that way? That's pretty sharp👍

Wow, I didn't even know that there was a heated option. Learned something new today, and I just woke up, lol.

Might be an option that's more geographical, like the heated PCV valves?

I'll start watching the wrecking yards more... it sounds intriguing, that's for sure. Where is your defrost button located?

Its on the eatc . There's two defrost buttons a rectangular one and one shaped like a front windshield. The rectangular one is the rear

I recently had to replace the plastic trim piece around the window.
Might be worth your time to put something like Raptor liner on it to reinforce it if you end up taking the window out again.
That trim piece was very hard to find for me in Az.
