You will have to do some more research on it. Not familiar with that rear end. All I know with that low number it is not good for torque and towing.

Bad for acceleration, good for top end speed, not that it matters, it's a truck you're only going to go but so fast.. and not great for towing.

I'm going to guess you have a 4.2l? I've never seen a 4.6 under 3.55. Your 3.08s will be fine for whatever you need to do though. Unless you want to make a race truck or tow a massive trailer you'll be ok.

Interesting. All the v8s I've seen have been 3.55s or 3.73s. But like I said unless you're having problems with it feeling under powered or something I'd just let it roll.

You've got the high gear ratio limited slip rear end. It's made for gas mileage and higher speed acceleration. My buddy has one with a 5.4 that I've spent a lot of time in and working on. It's well worth taking the low end power losses and crappy towing performance when you consider that he averages 18-20 mpg. You can be running down the road at 60 mph and the tach isn't even up to 1200 rpm. It'll still bust em sideways on blacktop though.

You should be within your towing capacity with that camper. Check its weight if you can, then double check your towing capacity.
