Default Rear Disk Removal Problems

I am trying to replace the rear brakes. The disk wont come off. I sprayed brake cleaner and cleaned the lugs with a wire brush, then sprayed wd-40 on the hub and lugs. Taped around the lugs with a hammer, then hit the rear of the disk with a malllet. They wont budge at all. I went to the parts store and they said i had to back out the emergency brake, that there is an adjustment star hole under the rear axle. I have an 02 F150 and there is no hole for adjustement. If anyone can give me ideas or know what the hang up is please post....

The hole is there, there's probably just a rubber grommet in it to keep water out.

Not uncommon that one must bang hard on the drum near the lugs to break it free. Screw the lug nuts on half way to protect the lug bolt threads from a hammer hit. The disc should come loose from the bolts even if the parking brake shoes need to be backed off but it might hang up on the shoes, then you may need to wrestle it off. If the disc won't come off the flange at all it's not the shoes holding it but rust on the flange.

Definitely figure out how to release that brake. I banged mine off my mercedes (same set up) with the emergency brake on, and busted my emergency brake shoes.

The adjuster is there, it is on the back plate under the axle. As said above there should be a rubber grommet in the hole, once you back the e-brake shoes off it should not be to hard to remove. I just did this last summer and I can't remember if up is loose or down. I think up loosens them.
