Default Rear axle ID

Hi folks. 2003 2wd 5.4, auto. H9 axle which is a 3.55 LS option. Considering swapping the rear axle assembly due to a bad bearing and as you might expect there are hundreds on Car-part.com. I’m confused by all the ID numbers offered such as S918F (just one of many). How do I find the right ID for my truck?

Kind of extreme for just a bad bearing. Swapped the rear bearings and axles a couple years back on the same set up. It's not bad at all.

Any 9.75 H9 LS 3.55 will work from 2000 up. Make sure it has the disk brake set up and 14mm studs before you cart it home.

941 or 942 axles (suffix is unimportant if A or B) is an LS 355 with disc brakes, LS, It is the big bearing axle and will drop right into any GEN 10 with 5.4 without problems or change. Basic plug-and-play. Wheel studs are 14mm. The only possible difference is the right side ebrake cable. You might have to change that to fit your wheelbase length. 120, 139 or 157 wb options.
