Trog heap-em frustrated.

Got the interior gutted for the redo. Got everything either here or on the way. Here: seats, head unit and speakers, paint to restore dash trim, expy console...
On the way: carpet, mats.

BUT I HAVEN"T BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE TWO BRACKETS THAT MOUNT TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CONSOLE!

Nobody want's to sell them separate from the console used. Decided screw it and just pony up for new ones. Went to dealership today, can't get them. Key in the part numbers to order from www.fordpartsonline.com and it lets me add them to the cart, but wont let me check out.



sigh

Not the end of the world. I can make some if I have too, but it'd be nice to have the originals.

SWEET! They had the rear one but not the front. The front will be easy to make something that bolts down through the top.

I'm so disgusted. Just got an email saying the order was cancelled due to unavailability of parts. LKQ screwed me with this console as I posted in another thread and now I've got all this money tied up in it and it is a useless paperweight. Time to engineer some chit from Redneckville USA.

FML.

 

Hey I feel you man I bought a expy console from pull a part thinking it would mount the same.. well you know what I found out haha.. been trying to find brackets with no luck so far so I've just had it between my seats loose it doesn't move around too much but still annoys me... I'm thinking its time to put some self tapping screws in this sumbitch lol
