Default *RANDOM* No Start !

today the weirdest unexplainable thing happened to me today, i had drove to get food with my fiancee, got there turned truck off and went in to get food, came back out and tried starting but only made loud few click from pass. side under hood. well here is what throws me off!! everything inside had kept resetting as i was trying, the gauges would go all the way to the right then back to normal which only does when battery has been dis connected, along with radio had reset, all pre sets and modes had been reset, which also done by battery dis connection. let truck sit for a few second and the tried again and it worked..

So what is going on? i have never heard this problem before? i have power, just seemed like it didnt have enough power to start!!

few things checked off:

-battery tested good (3 years old)
- checked connections on battery and were good.
>> truck has beenn turned off and on a few more times through out the day with no problem<<

Check battery connections at the starter, if they are tight and not corroded, then it's probably the starter solenoid. Rebuild or replace starter. Sometimes battery cables can corrode inside the insulation making it hard to see.

so can you explain why the radio and cluster resets as if the battery is being disconnected. a ground to a starter shouldn't do that right ?
