Could always plastidip the rims untill you find some to replace them. They have lots of colors and only takes an hour or so to do. Cans are pretty cheap too....

Or hit up Wally world for some sandpaper and chrome spray paint if you wanna keep the chrome.

The second link you posted ate just knock offs and not the real thing. I would rather have the real thing because I could tell right away there was something off with them.

So, one thing I discovered doing some wire testing today is that my clever setup to mirror my phone display to my head unit is apparently not going to work because Samsung does something where you can't use a normal MHL cable, you have to use their special dongle (of course). This annoys me to the point that I'm considering other ideas as a solution now.

Today was otherwise mostly boring. She got an oil change. I'm a little scared by the fact that I only managed to drain about 3qt of oil out of the whole thing, which is WAY low. Also, in the process, I discovered my dipstick tube is broken off at the block (sounds like a common problem, good job Ford), so I'm looking into ways of solving that issue (though it's probably been like that for a long time, so I'm not especially concerned it's a "problem" other than being broken).

Mostly, I'm just planning wiring right now. Need to patch my backup camera into my reverse lights and the same for the switch on the head unit for it. Also going to do a CB. Plus I need to recheck the wiring harness for the head unit, as the parking bypass isn't working, and the front speakers are suddenly acting strangely. So I might just totally redo that.

Anyway, sorry for the otherwise boring update.

Oh, forgot to mention, for now, I think I'm gonna solve the wheel chrome issue with some foil tape. Ugly, ghetto, but if you don't know it's there, you'll never notice it. Plus, I think that's about the best way to prevent the peeling from spreading.

You have a great looking truck my friend. You might look into getting some weathertech floor liners and cleaning the carpet though. It would probably freshen up your interior some.

Thanks, yeah, I've been thinking about that, at least for the front. The driver's side floor mat is damn near worn through at the right heel where the gas pedal is. I think I might just add that to the list, especially since I'll pretty much never have to replace them again after that.

EDIT: Bit the bullet on this, went ahead and ordered them for the front at least. The back I'm less concerned about, since we don't use the backseat a lot (no kids, not a lot of group traveling). Plus, it was a little unclear which mat fit the SuperCrew vs the SuperCab. Maybe it's all the same at that point, but whatever, I can add that on any time.

Is anyone familiar, to do Gott's Mod on this truck, how the outer airbox component comes out? It looks like there's two bolts or retainers or something holding it down, and I'm having trouble figuring out what needs to happen to release it. I just don't want to risk breaking something trying to get it out.
