If you start ripping on it then yeah it will get stuck, sounds like you just need to take your time and have another go.
Ditto to what Black on White said. Don't try to rip it out. That'll only cause more damage than help. That being said the tab on that side may have gone out farther than it should have, and the tools aren't giving you enough leverage to push them in far enough (speaking from personal experience, my tabs got damaged at the dealership a few years back and I only recently noticed it). Be gentle with the screwdriver, you're only pushing the tab in. You'll probably have to push them in one at a time.

A good butter knife works wonders moving the retainer spring, and helping you release the radio as you get it between the clip and mount. Good luck.

3 days? Damn you're patient. After 2 days the shotgun would have gotten the radio out for me

I actually just did this about 11 hours ago yesterday. I didn't know about the special keys...I actually used 2 small screw drivers and 2 mechanic pics. Right side stuck a little but it wasn't too bad. About 10 min for first timer.

However I finished installing my double din...but the dash install wouldn't fit. If I screwed it in...the top flops over.

I'm thinking about just super gluing it to the outside edges of the actual CD player.

Haha I thought about taking a sledge to it. It's not a matter of patience it's that I don't have enough time. My patience with this dang thing is very low. I'm going to give it a shot again tonight... It may end up getting shot.

How is this thread 3 pages bahaha. You can buy a removal tool at walmart in the auto section. They work better than clothes hangers IMO. The trick is to press the two tools outward with a good amount of force THEN pull it all back. But yeah they are a pain sometimes. No argument there.

I was (am) using the tools. I am considering to destroy the dang radio to get to it if the dealership or myself can't get it out. Or if they are going to charge too much.

Have you tried taking the stock radio face off? It opens it up a little. It's easier to see and you have more tugging room.

I put vice grips on each side...small screwdrivers in all four corners. Pushed left side screwdrivers out...tugged on vice grips...then repeated right side. Popped out.

Are you talking about the dashboard face? Or is this something under the dashboard?
