radio questions

Default radio questions

so im changing my radio saturday and need to know if i need any special wires or anything of that nature. Im changing it from the double din to a single din radio. thank you!

I STRONGLY suggest you get a wiring kit. They are only around 10 dollars, and allow you to put the stock stuff back in if you sell it. The only other goofy thing you may run into is if it has a factory amp. Then you'll also need a bypass harness for that..... and let me tell you.... that is a JOY to get to. If I can find pics of mine, I'll post them.

So would these two work? I dont believe i have a factory amp tho, how would i know?

Here are a few pics. The PO hacked the harness all up, so I wound up repairing a lot of it.

The mount kit you posted is correct, the harness I'm not sure. What year is your truck?

This is where the amp is at.
