I have owned a 98 Ford F150 extended cab anniversary edition since new. It came with a cd changer located behind the driver seat against the panel next to the rear seat. The dash radio unit has a cassette tape with it. I hate this set up since it is so hard to change cd's. I end up listening to the same songs over and over again. Now the changer has crapped out and I need a change. Does anyone out there know of a bolt in factory radio with a single cd slot for this truck. I have looked at many radio units and can't find one that came in these trucks when the changer system was not ordered. One guy wanted me to cut some structure out behind where the radio I have now rests. I don't want to cut my truck. This truck came with this system and it was not an option. What did the lower end trucks come with that had a single cd and no changer. Is my dash structure different in any way? Any help would be appreciated. I am new to this site and welcome whatever you have to say.
