Default Rack and pinion conversion

Has anyone ever converted from a steering box to rack and pinion?

Yea let's resurrect this one. What about a R&P conversion for a 1998 half ton? I've seen the Crown Vic front ends used for some older model swaps...are those viable for a 10th gen F150 or has somebody done it different/better?

I see no problem doing it (in theory) because all the newer trucks have rack and pinion steering
Mounting the rack will be an issue because you have no mounting holes, or any support around the holes you are going to need to drill
I would keep the truck stock
