Default Quick Question

Goin to my buddies shop tuesday to work on the 4 wheel drive. Im goin to have him cut out my last 2 cats. Can i just cut them and the o2 sensors out and the truck run fine?

Truck should run just fine. Just make sure your state doesn't require you to have cats for emissions otherwise you will fail inspection.

I dont have to take emissions test where im at so im lucky but itd be illegal due to no cat and muffler but that doesnt matter much

WHY? Its not legal by federal law and unless you modify the wireing to the o2 sensers you will be looking at CEL on your cluster and unless your cat is pluged you will gain nothing but noise

The truck will run fine but your CEL will stay on. My last two went out and I just had the cats cut out but left the sensors in there. Just put a piece of black tape over it and forget about it. You can just clear it out later if you get a tuner.
