Default A quick light mounting walk through. nothing special.

This is for *****, but I'm sure it will come in handy for some other guys interested in mounting their lights behind the grill. This is a very quick run through, I did it on my black step side, but I haven't had the chance to do it on my screw so i used some substitutions in the pics ha ha. (cardboard and such)

Step 1: take off the annoying cover with those annoying little black peg dealies.

Step 2: cut a piece of steel bar stock about 6" and drill a hole directly in the middle. the hole should be a diameter that the bolt on your lights should fit (doy!). We will let this piece of cardboard that says "steel" represent our barstock.

this is how your light should mount.

Step3: towards each side of the radiator youll see the little rubber splash guards.

Now, on the left side of the pic is where the fiberglass grille shroud dealie mounts to the steel. we are going to use 5 self tapping screws, 3 on the steel side (left in the pic) and 2 on the fiberglass side (right in the pic)

Step 4: mount our piece of steel to bridge the gap between the steel and the fiberglass so the hole for the light to mount to is in the middle. you can choose to remove the splash guard or not. I didn't, I just cut a small hole for the bolt from the light. I used self tapping screws which made life easier.

Now, depending on the size of your lights you may need to remove the grill shroud and the headlights and such, i did it just for the extra room for my drill and whatnot.

Heres the end result.

This was just a quick how to for willycavs. I could have taken more in depth pics if i was actually doing the mod right now.

yeah, the KC's are a little big for that, the back is about half an inch from the radiator, as well as the back of the grille.
