Exclamation Question bout strobes

I bought a strobe light kit from auto zone
( http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=201873_0_0_ )

I want to put them inside my headlights. I DO NOT plan on using them on the road, in fact I DO NOT plan on using them at all I just want them. Is it legal in Pennsylvania to just have them on my truck? I cant find a straight answer anywhere.

Are they legal to just have on the truck? Thats all I want to know

I'm not going to even address the fact that you stated you are going to buy them so that you won't use them...

strobes are illegal.. that being said don't get caught with them and you will be fine. my buddy has them on his f250 and it's badass.. but he only uses them ridin through the woods and to screw with some of our friends. strobes are really cool and if you want them put them in your truck but just know that if you get caught using them you will be in some deep **** and if you get pulled over and they notice the strobes they might fine you for it and make you remove them. nothing is illegal until you get caught, just beware

I wouldn't put those in your vehicle. Strobes aren't illegal to have (you can always make the excuse the truck was used for construction) but those aren't really made for headlight housings and they are just too cheap for me. A decent 2 head set will run you about $150 while a 4 head will run $200 and 6 $250. The difference, those are commercial grade (rated for used as primary warning lights) and are actually made to go into headlight/taillight housings.

If your not going to use them, why do you want them??

And I would assume they could give you a hefty fine if your caught with em

My buddy had a set in his headlights and reverse lights. He lived in PA and never had an issue. He just used them for show occasionally when parked. They were kinda cool, they came with a dial to make them blink faster or slower.

I say, if you want them, get them. Definitely don't recommend using them driving down the road, but when you're in your own driveway or a parking lot, they can't say anything. Just like underglow kits, and other such things. They can't ticket you for having it. Besides, how thoroughly would a cop have to be checking over your vehicle to find them? I've never had a cop do anything more than check out the license plates lol.

I got the LED Quadra Strobes today and they are pretty bright, I didnt get a chance to hook them up, just tried them with the demo battery they give you. it comes with 4 strobes, and a controller box to control speed and patterns
